Our standard specification is LEED compliant. Environmental responsibility and “best use” principles are important elements of our practice. We actively engage the full design team (structural, mechanical, lighting, landscape, civil, cost control, environmental, and specialty consultants), the client, and the contractor from beginning to end, to achieve creative, sustainable, cost-effective, and well-managed projects.
We define context broadly. Our definition includes institutional, architectural, historic, urban, and environmental aspects. This calls for developing a contemporary architectural response to each building project in an intentional manner and not resorting to stylistic pastiche or historical formulas.
“But the biggest stroke of genius was Scott Payette Architects’ solution for the facility’s HVAC units … they housed them in Super Mario Bros.-style green tubes.”Chris Burt
“The team’s green rehabilitation efforts realized not only environmentally sustainable goals, but also economically sustainable ones.”Architectural Trust
